Epson Toyocom Launches High-Stability VC-TCXO
for Next-Generation Mobile Phones
Epson Toyocom Corporation has this month begun shipping samples of its TCO-5890 Series of VC-TCXO, a voltage-controlled temperature-compensated X'tal (crystal) oscillator that incorporates in the world's smallest class of package all previous features. The new products operate with high precision while meeting the ongoing demand for miniaturization in mobile phones and other devices, making them easy to incorporate into a wide range of applications.
Today's increasingly feature-rich mobile phones and other communication devices are adding a growing array of functions, including built-in GPS functions that are more accurate than ever. To meet the requirements of such applications, a VC-TCXO must be both compact and frequency-stable.
Equipped with a precision-processed crystal unit, the TCO-5890 Series offers the same outstanding precision and stability as earlier products (such as TCO-5870 Series products in 3.2 × 2.5 mm packages) yet in a new, smaller package (2.5 × 2.0 × 0.9 mm) that fits easily into devices such as mobile phones. In addition, these environmentally-conscious products are lead-free.
