Happy New Year.
In October of last year, Epson Toyocom Corporation embarked upon its first steps after the business integration of Quartz Device Operations Division of Seiko Epson Corporation and Toyo Communication Equipment Co., Ltd.
2006 will be a challenging year as we seek to establish ourselves as a leading company in the quartz device business. We should all work together as we strive to achieve this goal. Toward this end, we shall pursue two lines of activity.

First, we shall work to reinforce our mainstay timing device business. At the same time we must expand our optical device and sensing device business, centering on gyro sensors, which are rich in potential. We shall do our level best to make reliable delivery of our unique products, which are geared specifically to customer needs. Further, we shall work to earn our customers' trust by taking the quality of our products up to a new level.

Second, we shall seek to improve the quality of management by placing renewed emphasis on corporate social responsibility. It is imperative that each and every employee of Epson Toyocom Corporation behaves ethically and in a manner becoming a leading company, as we seek to become a company trusted by customers and society alike.
