Message From New Epson Toyocom Corporation President Torao Yajima
As the new president, I am very excited about the future of Epson Toyocom. The entire Epson Toyocom team is committed to growing the business by offering products and services that have clearly recognizable value for customers, and we want to help enrich society as an indispensable company for all stakeholders.
Last year the Epson Group presented "SE15," a long-range corporate vision that maps our course out to 2015. "SE15" identifies two areas of focus in the quartz business, which forms the new core of our device businesses.
First, we will pursue perfection in our crystal devices and seek to win customer loyalty by driving ongoing customer-centric innovations in all operations, from research and development to production, sales and service.
Second, in order to develop new markets, we will leverage the collective strength of the Epson Group and pursue new customer value.
By doing so we will aim to rapidly create, produce, and deliver products and services that delight customers the world over.
The commitments we have made in these two areas are broken down in more detail below.
1. Pursue perfection in crystals, and be first to meet the needs of customers.
We will further bolster Epson Toyocom's strength in QMEMS technology and unearth the buried potential of crystals to create ultra-compact devices that offer high-accuracy, stability, and new functionality in anticipation of customers' underlying needs.
We will also lead the crystal device market by further improving QCD so that we are always first to answer customer needs.
2. Create new customer value by combining technologies and by improving the quality of service.
By combining our crystal devices with the Epson Group's semiconductor, software, and other technologies, we will come up with new solutions that customers recognize to have greater usability, utility, and value.
These solutions will extend beyond the traditional boundaries of the crystal device domain to realize new customer value, helping enrich society and bringing about a better future.
We are committed to these and other activities that will propel us toward further growth.
